WELCOME

The Regional Orienteering Federation (F.O.R.M.) and the Council of Alhama de Murcia are pleased to welcome everybody that enjoys orienteering to the 33th International Trophy Murcia Costa Cálida in Alhama de Murcia, Región de Murcia, Spain.

This is a classic event inside the National Calendar. It is the second oldest event in Spain, and from the beginning it has had the trust of all the Spanish runners and of numerous Europe countries.

  • Entries for the 33 CC (medium, sprint and long) are closed. Registration fees will not be returned for registrations already made. During the events it will not be possible to make entries.

SPORTIDENT CARD CHANGES

Once the definitive registration deadline is closed, sport Ident-card changes which must be done due to any mistake done during the entries process will be charged 3 € for the whole weekend. It must be requested by the competitor at the arena before his/her start. If the mistake is detected when downloading at the finish, the runner affected can not get his/her split time paper and won't appear in the classification until the SI technician comes back to the competition center and also will be charged 5 €.

PROGRAMME

There will be no number bids in this event.

The access will NOT marked.

SPORTident Air+ touch-free punching system will be used in all competitions. Please bring your own or you can rent one when you register in the competition.

You can still run using the 8, 9, 10,11 SI-card or the P-card.

To win the Costa Calida Trophy in your category you must run both the middle (E1) and long distance (E3) races (Saturday and Sunday morning). The sprint races (E2 and E4) will not score for the Costa Calida Trophy.

Rules will be according to "Competition Rules for I.O.F. and F.E.D.O. Events".


Friday 3rd December

ME > MODEL EVENT RACE

  • Model Event Map (free) can be downloaded from this web.

  • Printed model event maps (on paper) can be picked up at the Decathlon Thader during opening hours or in the Tourist Office of Alhama de Murcia, from Wednesday 1st December.

  • How to get to the parking area.

  • Distance from parking to start: 500 m on food.

  • The race controls will be marked from 10:00 h on 3th December, available until 14:00 h on 7th December.

  • Map: Gebas.

  • The model race controls will be marked with yellow tapes with the black number control code.

Saturday 4th December

E1 > MIDDLE DISTANCE RACE

  • Entries.

  • How to get to outside parking area.

    • The parking will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.

    • For safety reasons, all vehicles must leave the outside and insider parking before 19:00 p.m., the motorhomes may park in the Nueva Espuña urbanization in Alhama de Murcia

    • How to get to the night parking area for motorhomes.

    • The access of vehicles or motorhomes to the competition area will not be allowed.

    • From the outside parking area to the race area, you will have to follow a marked itinerary on foot, it will be strictly forbidden to leave that itinerary marked by the organization.

      • Distance from parking area to start 1: 800 m.

      • Distance from parking area to start 2: 900 m.

      • The delivery of rented Sportident cards will be next to the start area (until the last runner's start time), changes of card numbers and new rentals will have to be made at the competition center. The collections of the deposits will be made in the finish area.

      • Distance form parking area to competition center: 1700 m.

        • Services in the competition center:

          • Information.

          • Delivery of rented Sportident cards.

          • Coffee, sandwiches and food service.

          • Large tent to protect in case of rain.

    • Distance from the outside parking area passing through the competition center to start 1 (official categories) is 2600 m and 2500 m for start 2 (OPEN categories).

  • Start:

    • First start at 8:30 h for official categories.

    • Open categories will have free start times from 9:00 to 11:00.

    • There will be two exits:

      • START 1 for official categories, with a pre-start at -6 minutes.

      • START 2 for open categories, without pre-start.

    • Start protocol: -3´, -2´ (control descriptions), -1´, start.

  • Routes marked during the race:

    • The following categories of E1(middle distance) will have a marked section from their penultimate control to their last control (200): F-12, M-12, F-14, OPEN-AMARILLO, U-10, OPEN-NARANJA. This marked section will be identified in the control description.

    • The following categories of E1 (middle race) will have a spectator control, marked on the ground and in the control description: M-E, M-20E, F-E and F-20E.

  • Closure of the finish line: 120 minutes after the last runner starts.

  • Refreshments: Only in the finish area will be refreshment for all runners.

ENVIRONMENTAL ACTS

  • At 12:00 at the competition center.

  • Delivery of the Green Sport Flag.

  • Presentation of the trophy to the club with the best environmental awareness.

  • Collection of rubbish from the competition area.

E2 > SPRINT DISTANCE RACE

  • This race is a forest sprint.

  • Access:

    • How to get to outside parking area.

    • It is the same parking area as for the middle distance race (E1).

    • From 13:00 h tourism vehicles will be able to access the inside parking with runners registered for this race, access to motorhomes will not be allowed and must remain in the outside parking, it is recommended to share tourism vehicles from the outdoor parking to the interior to reduce environmental impact.

    • How to get to the indoor parking for the sprint race.

    • Distance from the outside parking area to the sprint race pre-start 2300 meters on foot.

    • Distance from the inside parking to the sprint race pre-start 300 meters.

    • Distance from the inside parking to the competition center 600 meters.

    • The competition center is the same as for the middle distance race (E1).

    • The distance from the inside parking passing through the competition center to the pre-start will be 900 meters.

  • Start:

    • First start at 14:00 h for official categories.

    • Open categories will have free start times from 14:45 to 15:45.

    • There will a pre-start at -6 minutes (for all categories).

    • Start protocol: -3´, -2´ (control descriptions), -1´, start.

E3 > LONG DISTANCE RACE

    • How to get to outside parking area. The parking will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. It is the same parking area as for the middle distance race (E1).

    • The following categories of E3 (long distance) will have a marked section from the start to the first control: F-12, M-12, OPEN-AMARILLO, U-10.

  • Closure of the finish line: 180 minutes after the last runner starts.

  • Refreshments: There will be refreshment points (water) on the longest courses. It is completely forbidden to take the bottles or caps out of the refreshment area. In the finish area will be refreshment for all runners.

PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY AND DRAW OF SPORTS EQUIPMENT

  • Prize giving Ceremony for WRE and Costa Cálida Trophy at 13:00 h.

  • Draw of sports equipment among all participants.

I INCLUSIVE ORIENTEERING OPEN MURCIA COSTA CÁLIDA

  • Next Sunday 5th December, will take place in the city of Alhama, the I Inclusive Orienteering Open Murcia Costa Cálida.

  • First start at 16:00 h.

  • It consists of a Sprint race in which orienteers with and without disabilities may participate. It is open to any participant regardless his or her condition!

  • Non-disabled runners will have the opportunity to participate accompanying an athlete with a disability, if so indicated in their registration; or they can participate individually in the competition, in a traditional way.

  • There will be 4 different categories.

EMBARGOED AREAS

The competition area is an embargoed area for competitors, team officials and others who through knowledge of the terrain or the competitions, may influence the results of the competitions, it is forbidden to enter the embargoed area. The area will be embargoed until the competitions are over.
